Boko Haram Unleash Brutal Attack In Dapchi, Yobe State

The attack on the Dapchi community in Yobe State has been described as the biggest attack on the community in recent times.


On Monday the people of Dapchi were attacked by the Boko Haram militants.

The attack by by the insurgents did not spare the palace of Dapchi District Head and the General Hospital as they were deliberately razed in fire.


Residents said patients on admission or undergoing treatment in the hospital when the hospital had to run for their lives when it was set on fire.


Since the attack, many persons have been reported missing while families have been separated from one another.


Dapchi had earlier been hit by the Boko Haram militants in February 19, 2018 when they abducted 110 schoolgirls from their dormitory at Government Girls Science and Technical College.


The girls were later released after negotiations  with the Nigerian Government.  However, one of the girl remains in hostage to date.


Leah Sharibu, was not released because she refused as a result of her faith, she would not convert from Christianity to Islam.


Again in March, 2020, Boko Haram fighters attacked Dachi, where 7 policemen were killed.
