Speaker Of The House Of Representatives, Femi Gbaja Meets The Chinese Ambassador On The Unfair Treatment of Nigerians In China

On Friday 10 April 2020, the Hon. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila met with the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria,Β Zhou Pingjian.

Femi Gbaja aired the concern of Nigerians with respect to ill-treatment melted on Nigerians living in China.

The Speaker also showed a viral video where a diplomatic officer raised issues as to how the Chinese authority had seized the International passports of Nigerians while most of them have also been kicked out of their homes by landlords on the allegation of having Coronavirus.

Some which tested negative to the virus were not also spared from the unfair treatment.

Mr. Speaker in a post on his social media platform shared his discussion with the Chinese Ambassador,

“Today I met with the ChineseπŸ‡¨πŸ‡³ Ambassador to Nigeria on the disturbing allegation of ill treatment of Nigerian citizens in China. I showed him the video clip that had made the rounds. He promised to look into it and get back to my office on Tuesday.”
