Β 8 Killed as the plane carrying medical supplies crashes in the Philippines -Yommy Ayilara.

In the pandemonium going on all around the world today due to coronavirus, tragedy has taken place in Philippines as a A Tokyo-bound plane crashed while taking off from Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the Philippines capital city of Manila on Sunday, the 29th of March, killing all eight on board.

All passengers aboard the Lion Air Flight RPC 5880 died after the plane caught fire as it was taking off from the airport, according to Manila’s International Airport Authority.

The crew, a nurse, and a coronavirus patient are among the dead victims of the brutal plane crash.
According to the flight’s passenger manifest, an American and Canadian were on board while the other six on board were Filipino, the passengers included medical personnel, according to Red Cross spokesman Richard Gordon.

The Philippines News Agency said the plane was reportedly carrying medical supplies. Adding that the plane caught fire on the runway.

The twin-jet West Wind 24 was carrying three medical personnel, three flight crew, a patient and a companion, Richard Gordon, a Senator and Head of the Philippine Red Cross, according to a Twitter post.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) confirmed that there was no survival in the crash;

β€œ Unfortunately, no passenger survived the accident. An investigation by the Civil Aeronautics Authority of the Philippines was under way” MIAA authority said.
