Gov. Sanwo-olu Receive Humanitarian Affairs Minister in Lagos As She Commences The Conditional Money Transfer And Supply Of Relief Materials To Vulnerable People To Mitigate COVID-19 Hardship In Lagos

On Friday 10 April 2020, the Executive Governor of Lagos State received in audience the Hon Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq in Lagos.

The Hon. Minister with her team were in Lagos to flag off the conditional cash transfer and supply of relief food materials for the vulnerable.

This is happening after her working visit to Eastern States to supervise the payment to the beneficiaries of the conditional cash transfer in Iho ward, Ikeduru LGA of Imo State and Uli wards of Ihiala Local government of Anambra State.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu while addressing the Minister stated that Lagos State being the epicentre of the pandemic in Nigeria, thus commend the support of the Federal government so far.

“Our state is the epicentre of #COVID19 in Nigeria. We appreciate all the support we have received from the Fed. Government. Again, I appreciate HE President Muhammadu Buhari for his leadership and for his invaluable support.

We will not rest until Lagos is free of #COVID19.” He stated.
