Men of the Nigerian Police Force Occupy Ajimobi’s Residence Allegedly To Prevent Burial On-Site

The Policemen attached to the Oyo State Command have taken over the Agodi GRA residence of deceased former Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

Our correspondent S’Teller gathered that the property, which was the preferred family choice to bury the late Governor, was not approved by the State Government due to ligitation over ownership.

When our correspondent S’Tellers visited the place, two police vehicles, a Hilux patrol van of the State Anticrime outfit, Operation Burst and a white Kia Rio used for State Security patrol were parked beside the building with stern-looking security operatives.

Multiple sources on site, hinted that sending security operatives to man the property may not be unconnected with controversies trailing the land as the preferred choice of the family to bury the deceased Governor Ajimobi.

Other sources stated that the security could possibly be there to prevent disobedience or likely forceful entry into the property by the family or close associates of the former Governor.

Efforts to reach the Police Command’s Spokesperson, Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi, a Superintendent of Police, proved abortive.

Calls and text messages sent to his phone remain unresponded as at press time.
