Our correspondent S’Teller gathered that the scholars who were left stranded abroad by the NDDC were awarded $30,000 and $90, 000 for the pursuit of their Masters and PhD programmes respectively.

However, the grant has been left unpaid by the NDDC, thereby leaving the scholars stranded at their various designations.

According to a scholar,

“We have be left stranded and embarrassed by our institutions over the non-payment of our tuition and this tend to have a negative impact on our research”

“We need to President of Nigeria to intervene in our case as soon as reasonably possible and save us from this international embarrassment and lack that we are currently facing”

TellAfrica had earlier reported that the Minister in Charge of NDDC, the former Acting MD of NDDC, the current MD, NDDC among other management staffs are currently undergoing a public hearing at the National House of Assembly with respect to an alleged misappropriation and corruption in the agency.
