Candidates for the Ondo State governorship election billed for Saturday 10 October 2020 on Tuesday have signed a peace agreement. The peace accord signing ceremony was held in Akure, Ondo State capital. The candidates who signed the peace accord were Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Agboola Ajayi who is contesting under the banner of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP). Justice Olusegun Odusola of the Ondo State High Court in Akure has sentenced the Founder of Sotitobire. Prophet Babatunde Alfa, and 6 others of Praising Chapel on Tuesday have been sentenced to life imprisonment over the disappearance of a one-year-old boy on the church premises. Shortly after the reopening of schools for graduating students in Ondo State, two schools have been shut by the Government for violating the COVID-19 guidelines for resumption of classes.
