Nigerian Govt Threatens to Revoke Doctors Residency Programme As Strike Actions Could Not Be Overturned

The federal government and the striking National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) held a meeting on Wednesday in Abuja. The meeting was however unproductive as the government threatened to revoke the doctors’ residency programme. The doctors embarked an indefinite strike on Monday, a backdrop from a suspended in June.
