TellAfrica can now confirm that, the Emergency Health Bill 2020 is now law and binding in the Republic of Ireland. The law was unanimously passed by TDs in Dail Eirean on Friday 20th of March without a vote. While it was also passed at Seanad this afternoon and received the Presidential assent today 21st of March as it becomes Law. President Michael D. The closure of schools due to the COVID-19 outbreak may extend to April or May” – Taoiseach Leo Varadka.
