Investigation On-Going With Respect To Bulk Number Of Cases Reported At The Mater Hospital

The Mater hospital in Dublin is being investigated in relation to a large number of cases reported to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre on Thursday.   The number of cases in question is 244.   The Minister for Health Simon Harris is awaiting a full report from the Health Service Executive into the bulk reporting of Covid-19 cases by the hospital.   Speaking ahead of a meeting with Cabinet ministers this on Friday, Mr Harris said he could not give the name or location of the hospital in question at that point.  …

Fifty-two new deaths related to Covid-19 was announced during the press briefing on Saturday 25, April 2020. This implies that a total number of deaths related to COVID-19 has risen to 1,063.
