EFCC Set To Commence A Fresh Trial Of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission stated its readiness to commence a fresh trial of former Governor Orji Kalu immediately.     The EFCC said this in a statement by its Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, on Friday, while reacting to the order by the Supreme Court.   Where the  court of last resort  upturned Kalu’s conviction and also ordered a fresh trial on the grounds that, the trial judge, Justice Mohammed Idris, was not competent to hear Kanu’s case since he had been elevated to the Court of Appeal.    …
