The indegenes of Iwo Kingdom ain’t having it at all, as they came out in droves to garner support for their Monarch and protest against disrespect from lesser kings under the Iwo zone towards their people loving and number one king, the Oluwo of Iwo land.
The natives during the protest on Tuesday, 18th of February 2020 claimed that their protest is totally against conspirators and land grabbers parading themselves as king who have decided to conspire against their Monarch for exposing their treacherous acts.
They reaffirmed that, the Oluwo of Iwo is not removable against the backdrop proposition of some lesser kings in Osun state who are bent on exploiting the people.
The revered Monarch who was shocked by the solidarity and display of support by his community exclaimed;
“Despite my insistence to halt the solidarity move, you went ahead to defend yourself. It is good to know that my agitation is to protect your interest against selling your future by some kings. I’ve no personal motive than securing your future. With this you have done, be rest assured of my interest to serve you more. Monarchs are not estate managers on his subject’s property, we are blessing and not curse. I repeat again, whoever is selling land should drop his crown and leave the palace.” – Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I.
