Marriage is a cultural event often celebrated in pomp and peagantry by Africans and most especially, Nigerians.
Private weddings and secret marriage ceremonies seem to be trending in recent time amongst celebrities and top officials who tends to believe that keeping the marital life private is the ultimate price for maintaining a long lasting relationship.
This may probably be the case of President Buhari and his supposedly new bride, Hajia Sadia Umar Farouq who currently doubles up as the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management. Before her recent confirmation as a Minister of the FRN, Hajia Sadia was the Head of the Refugee Commission.
According to our source, the alleged marriage is expected to take place at 2PM today, Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Federal Capital Territory Central Mosque in Abuja, Nigeria.
Wedding invitation for the event attached herein (as seen on-line) but will be subject to verification by TellAfrica’s representative who shall be on ground in Abuja to give an updated report at noon.
Information reaching us also states that, absence of the current First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hajia Aisha Buhari seem to be connected to this development. It is believed that, her stance and boldness with respect to her opinions regarding the state of the nation has put her in the bad books of the cabals. Thereby, facilitating the marriage of Hajia Sadia.
It must be noted however, that as a Muslim, President Buhari is allowed to take more than one wife as long as he is able to love them in the manner prescribed by the holy Qur’an.
The question however is, would it be appropriate for Nigerians to start sending congratulatory messages to the Presidency with respect to this new feat? While considering this stance, how do we refer to our new bride/wife? Minister, 2nd Lady or wife of the President?
Either ways, we can’t wait to TELL the full gist to Team TellAfrica and the millions of Nigerians waiting for full details and of course to congratulate the new couple.
