OKEIGBO INDIGENES RESPOND TO OLUOKE’S CLARION CALLS ON COVID-19 -Oluoke Media Team.
Sons and daughters of Okeigbo Kingdom have spontaneously responded to the clarion call of our Kabiyesi, HRM Oba Lawrence Oluwole Babajide who had made a serious appeal to the indigene of the town to rescue the aged and the vulnerable of the effect of the lockdown because of COVID-19.
Most of the donors who will not allow their names to be publicised have donated in millions both in cash and kind to ameliorate the suffering caused by the pandemic.
“Some of them have gone through the streets of Okeigbo and it’s environs to distribute foodstuffs like rice, beans, indomie, tomato paste etc. Some of them flooded the streets with cash.” The monarch stated.
In a chat with Oba Bamigbala 1, he thanked God for the kind-hearted children God has bestowed the community and the spontaneous response received.
He said this shows the level of affection they have for him as the king of the community.
He prayed for the good Lord to continue to prosper them in all their endeavours while he also encouraged those who have not responded to harken to the call as he has planned to continue this gesture till the end of this pandemic.
