His Royal Majesty Oba Lawrence Oluwole Babajide has distributed some food items as palliative to cushion the effect of the ravaging virus christened COVID-19.
On entering point of the distribution center which is the private residence of the monarch, the recipients were directed to a station to wash hands and sanitize their hands.
The recipients later took seat in orderly form minding the social distance.
In a brief speech by the monarch, he thanked the Special Adviser to the Governor on Multilateral and inter-governmental affairs who supplied the palliative to the monarch.
Kabiyesi also thanked the Governor for his love for Okeigbo and he quickly used the opportunity to deliver the Governor’s message to the people.
He also educated the recipients and the entire community of all the preventive points highlighted by d Government, such as washing of hands regularly, use of nose mask and maintaining social distance always.
High Chief Elusiyan, the Owalode of Okeigbo Kingdom also advised the people to always follow the laid down rules of the government to combat this deadly virus.
In appreciation, Mrs Veronica Alao thanked the monarch for his love for his people and prayed for his peaceful and long reign on the throne.
The distributions were later handled by Com. Samson Agboola, Hon Alexander Omojadegbe and Mr. Yemi Ogunsola.
