The management of TellAfrica having duly consulted with 22 out of 24 NIDO Europe Chapter Chairmen with a 100% support on the need to move with the tides of international standard and development in a bid to uphold democracy whilst promoting transparency and accountability in the forthcoming NIDOE election, present a first of it’s kind NIDOE 2020 ELECTION DEBATE.
The place of the civil society and independent platforms devoid of bias and personal interest cannot be over-emphasised should we consider a free & fair election, where capable hands are elected to represent the interest of the people they seek to serve.
The Nigerians in Diasporas Organisation is expected to be a set standard for the new Nigeria we crave for and as such, it is imperative to put our best foot forward while selecting our representatives.
The organisation which is made up 24 chapters across Europe with professionals from diverse specialties will be holding its Annual General Meeting between 11-14 November 2020 where the election will take place on the 14th of November. The election is expected to be electronic as members during a summit had agitated for electronic voting considering travel restrictions caused by COVID-19.
The keenly contested positions iare: Chairman, Treasurer and the European Union Representative. While the position of Legal Officer is still vacant, other roles are going unopposed according to the last update from the electoral committee. It is expected that a voters register should be published ahead of time. Everyone seeking NIDOE elective positions, who truly know they are doing so for the development of NIDOE without selfish intents are expected to be in attendance.
The CEO, TellAfrica and convener of the NIDOE 2020 debate, Gbemisola Bisi-Taiwo, Esq. while speaking to our correspondent S’Teller commended the outgoing executives under the leadership of Hon. Kenneth Gbandi and stated further that ” a healthy rivalry should be encouraged in NIDOE elections so as to have capable representatives who will move the organisation forward.”
“It is also imperative that we meet and chat a course with our representatives-to-be as this would enable us have a fill of what is to come, promote NIDOE and probably help point them into the right direction peradventure they fall short of the services promised/ our expectations in the near future.
The services to be rendered are not directly paid but could wade influence if properly utilised by elected members.
Your team TellAfrica anchors for the event are: William Deng, Esq, Chairman Courage Group UK, Adetunji Omotola, Esq. from South Africa, he is the leader ’12 disciples PAN African group’ and our charismatic CEO, Gbemisola Bisi-Taiwo, Esq.
