A group of lawyers have signed a petition demanding the Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami, be stripped of the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria over his recent unilateral amendments to the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners 2007. The petition registered by Izu Aniagu, on change.org, is titled, โ€œSign to strip Nigeriaโ€™s AGF, Abubakar Malami, the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeriaโ€ had received over 380 signatures. Fraud Alert: Nigerian Law School Exposed

The Office of Auditor-General of the Federation on Thursday has uncovered several anomalies in the financial records of the Nigerian Law School. The Audit report presented to the Senate, exposed the apex legal academic institution for misappropriation and spending without approvals. The 2015 Financial Report of the office is currently being scrutinised by the Senate Public Accounts Committee for investigation.
