Lawyers Commence Petition To Strip A.G Malami Abubakar Of SAN Title

A group of lawyers have signed a petition demanding the Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami, be stripped of the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria over his recent unilateral amendments to the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners 2007. The petition registered by Izu Aniagu, on change.org, is titled, “Sign to strip Nigeria’s AGF, Abubakar Malami, the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria” had received over 380 signatures. Gov. Akeredolu Submits Petition Against Former SSG Over Electoral Manipulation Claim

The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunri Rotimi Akeredolu, and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have petitioned the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Salami Bolaji, over an allegation by the former Secretary to the State Government. The former SSG had alleged that the 2016 governorship election was manipulated in favour of the incumbent Governor Akeredolu.
