Ebonyi State Confirms Two New Cases Of Coronavirus
David Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi Sate has announced that residents who do not use face masks will be caned.
Two new cases of the coronavirus have been documented in Ebonyi State.
These new cases have brought the total number of diseases in the state to seven.
Umahi said the two new cases involved a couple who have just returned from Oji River in Enugu state where the man sells phone accessories.
This was revealed to newsmen at Government house, Abakaliki in Ebonyi state.
According to the Governor, they had just retreated to the state on May 5, and a test administered on them came out positive.
Governor Umahi, however, instructed residents not to panic as the patients have been taken to the isolation centre for treatment.
He requested that all indigenes of the state to be watchful and make sure that they continue to comply with the precautionary criteria to prevent the spread of the virus.
