LAGOS TO HOST NOLLYWOOD ECONOMIC OUTLOOK

All is set for the annual Nollywood Economic Outlook slated to hold February 20 and 21 in the nation’s commercial nerve centre, Lagos.

The 2020 Nollywood Economic Outlook would focus on the critical issues around Indigenous content, Disruptions in the creative industry, broadband and the digital Economy.

 

Addressing newsmen at Sheraton hotel, Lagos, Dr. Don Pedro Aganbi, National Coordinator of the Nollywood Mandate Group organiser of the premium Nollywood Economic Outlook said that for Nigeria to become more vibrant, efforts must be concentrated on resolving the problem of the economy particularly of the sort that drives and promotes Indigenous content, innovation and diversification.

 

β€œThe state of the Nigerian Economy is an urgent discuss. Nigerians are engaged in ambivalent discussion about the economy; Its challenges and prospects. This discussion have lingered at civil, organisations, corporate world and even foreign foras but the creative industry, Agriculture and Information Technology can be used to leapfrog and diversify the economy” Dr. Aganbi posited.

 

According to him, the Nollywood Economic Outlook (NEO) is designed to bring together top panel of experts, Innovators and connectors from various sectors of the economy to discuss and x-ray key national and global economic forecast and trends; chart a course that wiould transform Nigeria into a global economic hub that is prosperous, safe, secure, functional, productive and driven by innovation and digitasation.

The ICT and Entertainment enthusiast revealed that the Nollywood Economic Outlook is a veritable platform for government to present its plans/policies and the private sector to provide insights into challenges, opportunities, available solutions and options in making Nigeria a hub in the global digital economy.

 

The organisers equally stated that NEO 2020 would be rounded off with the Good Governance Awards (GGA) designed to honour and celebrate distinguished Nigerians who have been exceptional in using good corporate governance in moving Nigeria Forward.

 

The epoch Nollywood Economic Outlook (NEO) shall have in attendance commissioners of culture and tourism from across the thirty six states, States Government delegates, State and National Assemblies members, financial institutions, ICT Companies, Entertainment companies, telecommunications services providers, government agencies, media editors, foreign missions among others.

NEO 2020 offers a great opportunity for networking and forging strategic partnerships with key stakeholders from the various sectors of the economy.
