The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, 74 and wife Melania Trump, 50 have tested positive to COVID-19.
The couple thereafter have commenced quarantine and both self-isolating at home.
This information was revealed by the POTUS via his verified Twitter handle on Friday morning.

In same vein, the first lady of the US, Melania Trump have also confirmed testing positive to the Coronavirus just like his husband via the verified Twitter handle on Friday.

A letter from Sean Conley, physician to Mr Trump, confirmed the positive test on Thursday and said the president and first lady would remain at the White House during their isolation.
It stated: “The White House medical team and I will maintain a vigilant watch, and I appreciate the support provided by some of our country’s greatest medical professionals and institutions.
“Rest assured I expect the president to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any future developments.”
Several White House staffers have tested positive for the virus, including Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary Katie Miller, and one of the president’s personal valets.
The positive tests come as the virus continues to spread at an alarming rate in the US.
