The Executive Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has formally announced his resignation from the All Progressive Congress ( APC).
H.E Obaseki ceases to be a member of the ruling party APC henceforth.
He made the disclosure this morning at the Presidential Villa .
Recall that the Governor was disqualified from participating in the state gubernatorial primaries by the screening committee of the APC.
Little wonder why an incumbent Governor would cease to qualify as a contestant in the party, having been previously screened, contested and won an election under same party.
The Governor said he will in days announce the new political platform where he will be seeking his re-election.
